Stories are part of growing up. Children learn from stories and the best thing is that anything is possible in stories. However, as much as fantasy and magic make any child's eyes light up, I am fascinated by how much children also thrive on history. It seems to be in them wanting to find out where they come from, what other people used to live like and how things were created. So what better way to mix facts with something magical by creating a time machine and exploring different ancient civilisations.
I really struggled deciding which eras and civilisations to explore. Having always loved Native Americans, I was drawn to look at the Incas, however, in the end it was Ancient China, Greece and the Egyptians that succeeded.
Enjoy these activity sheets with ideas, songs, art, craft and facts most of which I found online. I tried to find activities that are both for inside as well as outside to keep these little ones active, engaged, creative and learning.

If there is anything specific you as a parent or teacher would like me to explore, please contact me.
We are also busy getting the second book of Wonderland stories out, so hopefully that won't take long. In regards to screen stories, we have applied for different funds, so depending on how those go I hope to be able to get back into the studio soon to film our first whole book of Wonderland adventures for your child or classroom.
Teachers please remember to contact me for your FREE story and activity set. I can be reached via the website or Facebook, just state your name, email and school or centre that you work at.
Have a lovely week and I will see you all next week for another theme.
